Terms and Conditions 

  • A request for an assessment can be made by email. 

  • A non-refundable booking fee of £50 is required to secure an assessment. 

  • Parents/carers and the student's school (teacher/SENCo) are required to complete background questionnaires and submit them at least 5 days before the assessment.

  • Should there be reasons within the questionnaire and checklist that would require further investigation or cancellation of the assessment then this will be communicated at the earliest opportunity.

  • Before the assessment, the student must have visited an optician within the last two years.

  • 7 days notice is required to change the date of the appointment.

  • Full payment of the balance is required on the day of the assessment.

  • The assessment will take approximately 3 hours to complete, with regular rest breaks included. If the student becomes tired, we can split the assessment into two shorter sessions. It is expected that the parent/carer remain present throughout.

  • The results will be considered and analysed, and a comprehensive written report will be prepared.

  • Once the report has been finalised, a 30-minute verbal feedback session via Zoom will be offered to parents/carers.

  • Parents/carers will receive the report approximately 10 working days after the assessment.

  • The report will be sent  in a password-protected and encrypted document attached to the provided email address. If a hard copy of the report is required, please notify in advance.

  • All reports and information regarding the student are strictly confidential, and details will not be shared with third parties unless explicitly requested, such as forwarding reports to schools, colleges, or universities.

  • Test papers will be securely destroyed once the report has been finalised.​

The Assessment

  • 50-minute sessions will occur during the school day at the student's school.

  • The parent/carer is responsible for arranging this with the school beforehand to ensure a suitable quiet area is provided.

  • Parents/carers will receive an invoice for £420 at the end of each half term.

  • Sessions will be tailored based on baseline assessments, and parents/carers will receive half-termly progress reports via email.

  •  In the event of a session cancellation, I will endeavour to arrange an alternative session.
